Make A Wish

Hello everyone!!! It has been awhile since I have created any cards! I made this card using a Saturated Canary image called Have Your Cake and Eat it Too. I like using her since she is perfect for birthday cards ;0) The sentiment is a brand new stamp by Becky Pearce. She has joined up with Kimmie of Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps and is selling her Make A Wish stamp set on the Kraftin' Kimmie website and should be available on the site soon. Becky is very talented and I love the stamp set!!!

So Very Thankful!!!

It is with a heavy heart that I must say goodbye to the Little Miss Muffet Facebook Design team. I am SO VERY THANKFUL for the opportunity I was given to be on such a fantastically talented team who are all so kind and caring. I loved every part of being on this team and am so grateful Faye picked me to be on the team. She is a wonderful leader and teacher!!! I also have loved playing with the awesome stamps found in the Little Miss Muffet Shop! Forgotten Scraps (Barbara!) you do amazing work with your stamps!!! I know I will always be a fan!!! 

My final card for the team uses the Zoe Annie Hatter stamp. She is darling don't ya think?!

Happy Birthday to Dad…shhhh

Hello everyone! Just to update you, I did not have a post for you all last week because sadly I had no mojo to make a card since we had lost our sweet dog Bella. She had been sick for some time and we had to make a very hard decision and had to put her down to release her from her suffering. It has been hard adjusting to life in the house without her. She was a really sweet dog. We miss her!

Today I am sharing a super secret birthday card I made for my Dad so shhhh….mums the word. His birthday is coming up on October 5th. I used the sweet Polka Dot Pals Heidi for this card. She is one of my favorites.

Creative Bloggers Hop

Good Afternoon everyone, hope you all had a productive weekend with your crafts. 

I was asked by Donna Mosley to participate in the CREATIVE BLOGGERS HOP which is a continuous blog hop that takes place every Monday. Last Monday Donna answered a few questions about her craftiness and now this Monday it is my turn. 

QUESTION #1:

What am I working on at the moment?

ANSWER:

Right now I am working on a card that I am making for my Dad's birthday. His birthday is coming up on October 4th so it will be here before I know it. I also need to get busy making a card for my Facebook design team post for Wednesday. 

QUESTION #2:

How does my work differ from others in my genre?

ANSWER:

My cards are pretty clean and simple for the most part. I see so many wonderful cards out there that have a ton of detail and while I would love to make cards like that, it just doesn't seem to be my style at least not yet. I think once I learn to make cards that way I might change and love doing it. I don't think we should ever feel stuck doing or creating things a certain way. Im all about learning new techniques when I can find the time. 

QUESTION #3:

Why do I create what I do?

ANSWER:

I had gotten the bug for scrapbooking a long time ago and then I was introduced to Copic makers and making cards and I fell in love with them!!! I pretty much gave up scrapbooking and now just focus my creativity on making cards. I love giving them to people and have fun in the process.

QUESTION#4:

How does your creative process work?

ANSWER:

First I think of the occasion I need the card for such as birthday, anniversary, thank you card, etc. then I  get inspiration by looking at cards that others have made or I go to my Pinterest account and look up card sketches and color combos and also try to find the perfect stamp that I think will work. Then I color up the image and finally put it all together on a card. Sometimes I pick the the papers I want to use in the beginning and sometimes I do it after I have already colored the image. I just do what I am in the mood for ;0)

And thats a wrap! Now I am suppose to nominate someone to answer these same questions for next week, I decided to nominate the ever so talented Becky Pearce. She really goes all out on her cards and I aspire to be just as good as her someday!!!

Babe Moon Lullaby

Happy hump day!!! Hope you are all enjoying your week. It is a short week for me luckily. I had a great weekend spending time with my husband and a new friend I met via Facebook. It is amazing the connections you can make through social media. I am thankful for it!

Decided to do something a little different. I made a card for a Boy. I used the Monster Sid stamp from the LMMS store. I thought he was kinda cute in a monster kinda way. New Techniques Used for Inspiration Friday

I had so much fun making today's card. I used the shabby white embossing enamel for the first time. I have seen it used on so many cards and I really like the finish it gives to the cards so I thought I would give it a try. I paired that with the distressed look and think it turned out pretty nice. I am happy with the results. The image is of course from the Little Miss Muffet Store and she is called Jr. Hatter Kimberly. I thought she would be perfect for a Thank You card.

I toadily fell in love with this stamp called Broasca the Frog!!!

Jr. Hatter Lilly

Ok I have a new favorite and it is Jr. Hatter Lilly!!! I love dogs and I love the Jr. Hatters so why would she not be my new favorite? Such a doll!!! Sugar-n-Spice Dolls Bay

I can not wait to take Alyce Keegan's clothing class because that is something that I struggle with. Especially the pleats!!!! I hope to learn all about them as soon as I can afford to sign up for her class. I am taking the Skin and Hair class now but am moving at a snail's pace. Luckily the classes NEVER expire so I am thankful for that.

Paint the World with Happiness

These Polka Dot Pals are really growing on me! Them and those Jr. Hatters I tell ya, I just can't get enough!!! This PDP is named Cecilie. I love the braids in her hair and I decided to go pink with them because I saw a card that Faye had made with the pink combo and I had to try it out. I like using different colors for hair and will have to do it more often!

Polka Dot Pals Amy

Today I am featuring a card using Polka Dot Pals Amy from the Little Miss Muffet Stamps shop. I used my Silhouette Cameo to cut her out and let me tell you it makes me so happy that I no longer have to do any fussy cutting with images anymore. It took me forever to figure out how to print and cut digital images only because I put it off for so long because I was scared of it. I know silly me but once I finally sat down and watched some You Tube videos and tried it out myself it was not so bad after all. I made two cards as one of them is for a friend who recently lost her dad. I hope the card brings a smile. Losing someone especially a parent can never be easy. 

I love the bright colors and the papers are of course from Doodlebug. They have some of the best paper since they are so bright and cheery.

Kit and Clowder Color Along

So excited to share my first color along with Alyce over at the Kit and Clowder Online Community. She offers pay classes and free color alongs but the color alongs are only available for two weeks then they go away. Yesterday I did the color along using a Saturated Canary digital image called Pixie Nerd.

I love how it turned out and I love that Alyce guided me through how to blend all the colors. I did not watch it live and I am glad I did not because I had to pause several times to catch up and had to watch some sections over again. Here is how it turned out…

A Random Fan: Anything Goes

Little Miss Muffet Stamp: Polka Dot Pals Queta

Friday, Friday, Friday is my favorite dayooooo!!! Bringing you a card with the newly released Polka Dot Pals Queta over at Little Miss Muffet Stamps. She is so beautiful let me tell you and super fun to color up!!! I tried my hand at adding facial features but noooooo luck. I just do not have what it takes to add faces to these stamps. So I left her just as she is. I did try a new skin color combo though and I have to say I really like it!!!
